The Delray Beach Elks were formed in 1949 and is currently home to over one thousand members.
Our History is proceeded with the
Elks organization being founded in New York City on February 16, 1868 under the name "Jolly Corks" by 15 actors, entertainers and others associated with the theater. In ensuing years, membership expanded to other professions.
Our membership is full of people who want to help. We work to within our community to raise money for events and organizations such as veterans' relief, family and children services, scholarships, and those with special needs.
To date, Delray Beach Elks have raised over $3.3 million for programs within our community.
